What is sometimes forgotten is that it is just as important to have a good flow before the turbocharger for it to work efficiently. Reduced negative pressure and cold supply air means that the turbo is able to pump a larger air mass, which ultimately affects the amount of oxygen that reaches the intake - this gives effect. In short, there are big power gains to be had with a good intake system!
